January Union Meeting to be held on the 15th at 4:15p.  Immediately following the meeting we will be viewing the movie "Sicko" by Michael Moore. Popcorn and refreshments will be served. It is a two hour movie.

February Union Meeting to be held on the 19th. District 142 and 143 lodge officer nominations will be held during this meeting.

District 143 Convention to be held the first weeks of May. Location and   exact dates to be announced.  All proposals for changes to the District Lodge 143 bylaws will need to be written on a standard form provided by the District Sec/Treas. In addition, each bylaw proposal change must be discussed and voted upon at each local lodge meeting where the proposal originates prior to being forwarded on to District Lodge 143. All proposals must be received by Dist 143 at least two weeks prior to the convention.

Grand lodge convention to be held in Orlando, Fl Sep 14-20 at the Coronado Springs Resort. 

Home Reservation Agent Talks

General Chair's Nan Otto and Jackie Fay, along with District President Steve Gordon met with Alaska Airline's company officials on January 3rd to discuss the Home Agent letter of agreement. The Trial period was to have ended on December 31st 2007. Our representatives believe it was a good meeting. We are waiting to get a response from Alaska on the proposals that we brought forth.  More info to come.
